This is a great gift item because you get a lot for the relatively inexpensive price. The brushed stainless steel is lovely and has a good feel to it. It adds a high end look to the kitchen, especially since stainless is such a popular look for upscale kitchens. My favorite piece is the pasta utensil.
Description of Oneida 7-Piece Contempo Tool Set, Brushed/Polished
With big, polished heads and satin-finish handles, the six tools in this set present a handsome, thoroughly contemporary kitchen bouquet standing in their storage canister. At the same time, they're practical and durable. Made of heavy-duty, 18/8 stainless steel, the set consists of a basting spoon, a slotted spoon, a pasta server, a slotted turner, a ladle, a fork for spearing sliced meats or holding a roast or chicken firmly for carving, and the canister. With the exception of the 12-inch ladle, all tools are 12-1/2 inches long, have gently curved handles for ease of use, and include holes in their handles so they can be hung instead of stored in the canister. The canister has a satin-finish to match the tools' handles, stands 6 inches high, and is 4 inches in diameter.
